Ultimate Timber Framers Tape Measure Survey results

Thanks to all who have filed out the survey about the Ultimate Timber Framers Tape Measure.
Several people have asked us to share the results.

The survey is now closed.

Answers as of 7/14/12; 250 took the survey.

Question 1 What dimension do you burn?
A =1----81 or 34.5%
A =10---65 or 27.7%
A =12---89 or 37.9%

Questions 2 What length tape?
16 = 9 or 3.7%
25' = 103 or 42.4%
30' = 131 or 53.9%

Question 3 Would you like the tape flat or curved?
Curved = 102 or 41.6%
Flat = 143 or 58.4%

Question 4:How many would you buy?
We had a good response, but fell slightly short of our goal.

Question 5: Would you like it in 16ths or 32nds of an inch?
1/16 = 193 or 79.1%
1/32 = 51 or 20.9%

Question 6: text comments.
A lot wishing good luck with the idea.
Some making some good suggestions.
Some saying not needed at all.
Some asking for metric tapes.
Some saying make right handed and left handed reading of the tape.
Some suggestions on the awl hole placement.
Plus a lot more.

Summary:
Thank you very much for helping us with this survey.  There were some great comments and suggestions.  As much as wed like to incorporate many features and versions, the funds or payback arent there to support all of them.  We will use the survey results to work with the manufacturer and see if we can move forward on this project.  We will incorporate the necessary features and any desirable features that are not cost prohibitive.
