Thought Id share an idea for a debarker concept that is kinda whacky but pretty effective for heavy bark. Basically a small demolition hammer with a digging spade welded to an old chisel point bit. You can just start the curved tip of the shovel under the bark with the curved inside face of the shovel facing the log and push the go button on the hammer. Really goes to town. Have to remember to just use the hammer setting and not the rotary hammer setting or it will turn into more of a handfull than you want to mess with. Kinda like when a big half inch drill bites into something and spins you around only worser. :(

That is a dang good idea! 8)

Don't know about a video. Too many logs to chase to find the time to fool with that. You will just have to put one together for yourself and give it a try. Let me know if you come up with an improovement. I am all about trying to make something better. If you are passing through the area you can try it for yourself. I am always sawing or chasing logs on the weekends. Gary

There was a yesterday that I might have enjoyed running that, but that was yesterday.   :D
