I've read the complaint here, a fair few times, that the big companies don't make small skidders anymore.
I have just discovered this
Hittner - Tractor factory Hittner ltd, Bjelovar Croatia (http://hittner.hr/forest-tractors/croatia/skidder_ecotrac_55_v_-_outstanding_rugged_partner)
Sold under the brand Latil in France now. That's how i discovered it. Tho, it's fairly dear, at nearly 80000€, mind you, other machines often cost a hundred thousand more nowadays.
IRUM 690 skidder from eastern europe. Uses 95 hp perkins.
Cab is euro spec rops etc. 200 feet of 13mm on winch. 7.5 metric tonne 16500lbs
Skidder 690 PE - SC IRUM SA (https://www.irum.ro/tractors/forestry-tractors-skidders/skidder-690-pe/)
Irum la Expowood 2018: Demonstratie LIVE pe TAF 690 PE - YouTube (https://youtu.be/TLph-9_FM_E)
Engine or whatever sounds a bit better in this one, still a bit smokey. Perkins is only Tier 3 but Perkins does have a 3.6 liter engine in Tier 4 Final and stage V etc.
