Dad was pestering one day some years ago when I was trying to finish off a 16/4 walnut order.  He finally got to me and I ran the blade into and over the log stop.

So...Dad said "since ya screwed up that board can I have it?" ;D ;D  Sure...so long as you leave me alone for the rest of the week. :D :D

He made this little whimsical table from that board.  Has shown it at a few shows where he displays the table  name on a little card...."Mis-Cut".  The picture doesn't show it very well but the top is 4" thick on one corner and 2" thick on another corner.  The bottom also shows a big curve where the band took the dive.  He really enjoys talking about the son that can't saw straight...especially if I'm within earshot range. :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

I've been moving him to a new apartment and just thought I would take a pic of something a little special to me.

The nasty looking boards or the scraps always make for the best stories and nicest pieces.

I like unique pieces like that. ya have to be willing to depart form the "norm". Since I rarely ever *am* in the "norm", I can really relate to it. :) Nice work dad.
