Its too bad that there is soooo much negative publicity about MJ. I would encourge folks to ready up about how it became outlawed in the US.

Lack of proper diet and exercise (aka heart disease) is the number 1 killer in the US and the government does not spend too much $$ on that social issue.

Well the good thing is they are still very small in numbers, and no way near going to overun these parts. Way to many good folks up here.

They're gonna get theirs in the long run Kev... I'm sure of it. God's got a way of taking out the trash in good time..  ;D

And how it got it's name, kinda has an "ethnic" ring to it doesn't it?. It was an attempt to stop Mexican immigration and their "demon weed". We can see how how well it stopped our illegal immigration problems and its use and cultivation by outlawing it... :P. Just like liquor prohibition made Al Capone rich, the immigrants are now smugglers for multi billion dollar cartels. Maybe that pot is a NAFTA crop JP...maybe it is grown for export to Canada and Mexico for a change instead of importing it   smiley_idea . I say stick with "Made in the USA" when you can  :D.

WOW!
By reading this, I see I live in a quiet part of the woods. I have never heard of hovering helicopters and cops showing up looking for weed.  ::)

What we have around here are these cute little road signs saying this is a meth watch community. What us rednecks think that means is that when the local yokels (idiots with badges) see meth users they "watch" them.

:D :D

From Mexico to Canada

There was a news story on the Fifth Estate program at CBC TV called the 'Mennonite Mob'. The story was actually told by older members of a Mennonite colony. It talked about the link to Mexico.

The story was also told in January 2005 issue of Reader's Digest. It appears to be a small renegade group in the community. Some of these reporters don't quite tell the whole story, so unfortunately it reflects negatively on the whole Mennonite society.

If I recall, back in the 20's the Manitoba government forced children in Mennonite groups to go to school, so some folks fled to Mexico to escape. So, that's the link as far as I know. There are a lot of Mennonites living next to me and they are all home schooled. They moved to my area in the early 1990's.

it apears that weed is dealt with like moonshine was 50 years ago at least in my part of tennessee. it depends on who you are if you are going to  get away with it. there are those that are known to grow and use it but the law does not touch them. they have to make a show of going out and pulling up some plants to get thier picture on the front page of the paper frm time to time, but seldom is anyone arrested for it. there is a well known drug user that rides a 4 wheeler by my house 2-3 times a day and takes a trail into the woods, i assume he is cheking and watering his crop.
