only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,

Thanks everyone yes, I am looking forward to the next set of steps in the process. Still have some snow so it will be a little while yet.

You will be amazed on how much easier it saws than using a chainsaw.

Congrats Jim,you'll be telling yourself "I should have done this years ago".Build yourself a comfy mill shed with a heated office.collect your logs when the woods are open and putter around all winter. Frank C.

I guess you know you just hauled home an Obsession coupled with a sickness,,, now you're in for it ! It will never stop now. You won't see a tree standing in the same fashion as before. ;)

You could practice un-coiling and coiling your new blades  ;D.

It did take practice to get the hang of coiling.   Will not be long you'll be snorting some saw dust!

I leave my blades in the box till I am ready for the next one. Stacking blades on top of each other like that will knock a little bit of sharp off of a few teeth.

I'll make a wooden box w/ partitions for the blades.

Not in  a rush as age dictates that.

I hope you are too, at least you didn't wait till 78 to buy a mill. You've got ten more years before you get there. I saw a program from Nova Scotia and the person they interviewed was a lady 93 years of age that was out cutting her fire wood with a chain saw. Lives alone goes fishing etc.
             This is my favorite past time.
