Stihl 044 won't run

 I just recently replaced the tank assy on this saw. It will run if I keep it choked, when choke is turned off the saw dies like it is running out of gas. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Was it working properly before you changed the tank?
I'm thinking there's a fuel restriction somewhere.

 yes, it was running fine beforehand, think i may get a chance to look at it more this weekend. I'll check the fuel line and filter.
It was a used assembly and i didn't even think about checking these before i put it all together. Thanks for the input.

Is the tank vented? Try a different cap

 By any chance, did you forget to hook up the impulse line?  I have been there, done that.
