I have run into an issue with the auto clutch on my LT 50.  I went to start it today and the auto clutch cycles on and off, on and off.  I  know it uses two magnetic sensors that make a connection with the rotating metal wheel as the shaft spins.  This tells the system to turn off the motor at either the engaged or disengaged position.  Is it possible one or both of these are bad?  Is there a way to test them?  My mill has a little over 600 hours on it.

I had the same problem a few years ago.  One of the sensors was bad.  The easiest way to check is swap the sensors.  You don't need to actually move them; just swap the wires around.  Don't forget to put them back! :)

Thank you. I tested them with a voltmeter and a metal wrench. I think they are ok. Talked with the electrician at WM and he feels like the mofset had shorted. I have a new one coming in a couple of days.

Well, I replace d the mofset module and the autoclutch worked perfect. Hope this helps someone in the future.
