I can't wait to pour some Michigan Maple syrup on my Michigan blueberry pancakes. Then I'll have some good ole Michigan pork sausage from the pig we slaughtered last year. With all this good Michigan grub why would anyone want to live anywhere else? ???
Oakie, you better put some gritz in there too or the South will rise on us again. 8) :D

Jeff, I would donate a quart of light amber made by me here in Ct., if you would like - email or pm and let me know - Mike Van

I think the left coast is going to make a play on getting that syrup out of Michigan. :) ::)
Nice of the young stump_jumpers to offer this prized maple syrup in behalf of the FF. Doin good there.
We are sitting here enjoying the fight to whether the syrup stays in Michigan or leaves the country. smiley_blue_bounce smiley_biggrin01
Good morning Campers ;D I see Im still the "winner", Bwahahahahahahaha :D :D :D
this is good for me 8). I may even try GRITS again, as Ive read if you slop enuff high dollar syrop on them(grits), a normal person can almost keep em down.. :D :D
Thats CANE syrup. FOr goodness sake man, don't waste maple syrup on grits!
I am sure that you all should be putting salt and butter on corn . ;D Maple sirop should be on toast with butter , eggs , ham , what ever but not ... CORN . ;D
Well, Percy, I sure hope the jar and label are worth your effort. It looks as thought you are playing second fiddle again. :'(
That syrup is gonna taste mighty good down here in Alabama. He He He 8) 8)

Farmerdoug
:D :D :D Okay Percy, truce till Sunday ;) ;) ;)
Percy, That's a mighty good dollar you are going to have to pay for the syrop. :D :D Oh well, I know ya gotta support FF. :o :o
You had better watch your pocketbook or you'll have to take out a mortgage on your property. :o :o
Brad.
When we list these things we do it so when someone is searching not only the actual item, but say saw mill or logging or forestry that the items come up. You just gotta wonder what people are thinking when they see all the bids on these items. I wonder if there are people out there now on the look out for the rare and very valuable Christmas C.D. by the Kalamazoo brass band. :)
I would bid but 83.00dallors is out of my range. :o :o :o :o
Mr Mom
Jeff you know that may have been Paschale's idea when he donated it. ??? He probably has a case of them in the closet and is hoping to start a run on them. Then he will retire to milling. ;D
Farmerdoug
Rest easy gentlemen-the Maple syrup is safely back in Michigan hands. Scoundrels from the great Northern lands and south of the Mason Dixie line have attempted to take it away but we all know it belongs on my pancakes. :)
Yeah it's back in Michigan!. 8) smiley_nananana
GO MICHIGAN!
PSSSSSST! Come on Percy!GO CANADA!

:D :D
Now get this straight Jeff, It is a "the rare and very valuable Christmas C.D.", but it is the Brass Band of Battle Creek. ;D
I have added another auction item that I have donated. I wanted to give it a quick mention here, because there are several Forum members that have expressed interest in it before. Well, its been listed on on ebay just now, so here is a link to where I put the link in the "for sale" section of the forum.
https://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?topic=16472.0
Well, I've got first dibs on the Power Wedge...we'll see how long that lasts! ;)
ARRRRGGGGHHHH. I bid a hundred bucks without checkin and the thing laffed at me......Its at 102.50 right now......just whut kinda syrop issat anyhow???? I gotta sell some Cedar before this thing gets away froim me......... :P
Percy, you know what I think? I believe there is a ringer in this bidding for the syrup. I haves been to enough auction to tell what is happening. Someone going to get you out on a high limb and you will have bought a quart of syrup for your Northern grits. :'(
There is a ringer alright, a Bell Ringer, and it looks like more than one. Percy's one and I have to admire someone who finds a way to support to this extent. Go Get'em Percy! 8)
Holy Smoke! You can't help but admire these guys. :) :)
Tom, Percy may be using an eyedropper to place his Maple Syrup, just to be careful that he dose not lose some to the floor or table napkin. 8)
That's some expensive syrup, for sure. But, ain't it great that he has chosen to support the forum with such exuberance?
Where's Percy from? They, might raise a statue commending his philanthropy, in the town square. I'll vote for him. :D
Who ever win the auction your going to have to try a little bit with your vanilla ice cream, its to die for ;)

If yer talking about the powder wedge auction you just aint a kiddin! :D ;)
DanG it! >:(
Somebody keeps out biddin' me. I'll have to count my penneys to see if I can get that syrup to its rightful owner.
Percy
It is pure West Michigan Maple Syrup and its dark amber. If you would have been at the piggy roast you could of had tried some. (Our syrup is not the buddy syrup-buddy syrup is when they collect the sap from trees that are budding and this can be bitter). The Amish around here seem to mix it all together and it ain't very good syrup.
If this Michigan weather don't straighten up and stay cold they won't be a sap run this year. Which will make that jar all the valuable.
Who is mobilesawmill Please step forward as we would like to know your identity the children are in suspense wanting to know. (That is the Forestry Forum Children) 8) ??? :D ;D
Yes, I can't believe anyone would keep their identity secret when bidding ;)
Heh Heh Heh.....little more than 5 hours till auction dedline and all the players major are off line....dozin if you will. Bwahahahahah. Gonna show you "foreiners" how to win an auction/embezzel American syrup*hissing lafffter sound. This is too good to be true, Catfish had me worried BUT he's visitin or somthing, Ill bet and this MOBILESAW character(Im thinkin Frank but not quite sure yet) is probably extollin the virtues of inserted tooth sawblades to his cat or somthing and has forgot about the SYROP,,,hehehehheh Regardless, its commin to a head in about 5 hours. Im gonna go cut one 38 inch by 24 foot WRC in to 2X12 and be back just in time to.....bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahah :D
Well, we know who the ringer is in all of the bidding; right Percy? :D
$108.05 WOOOHOOOO 8) 8)
Congratulations MobileSawmill! Enjoy and thanks for your support for the Forestry Forum.
From all of the stump jumpers
Percy must still be sawing that wrc. Boy did he miss out.
No he did not mill out, he sat and watched with a tear of maple syrup in his eye.

Thats what I want to say too!! Its all packaged and awaiting shipment!
NEXT AUCTION UP? CHARLIE'S DONATION! Its up and ready and awaiting his announcment. 8)
Its a shame there was a mistake on this auction or we would have been all set for our support for the year! Someone accidently bid
$11,000!
But they retracted it because it was a mistake. :-\
We would have made the National news I bet if we would have sold a quart Jar with Maple Syrup in it for $11,000!
ArrrhhhhhhGGGGGGG!!!! I done goofed up. The Lt70 hadda loose ground wire on the hyd.pump solonoid that took forever to find and I had to get this order done, and got back too late...... SO, just who is mobilesaw...issat you Frank?? Congtrats to who ever it is and Im sure your support is appreciated.......so....Whats next?? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Jeff, twice i've had to retract bids - They should not have put the comma and the dot next to each other on the keyboard - Once I did 577,50 using the comma [late at night, no glasses] The thing takes it upon it self to just add three zeros, thus my bid came out 57,500.00. At least it wasn't a last second one - I had time to retract it. :D
I've come close. I am glad they have that final check screen, I have got as far as that more then once.
I'll move this to our auction archive and away from being a sticky but I am waiting for Franky to get his syrup and lets us know about it. Hopefully tomorrow. :)
Thank you Jeffory! I will be waiting. I believe I will be having pancakes for supper if the USPS comes through. I hope it does not become a wait and see, like for an fallers ax. heee hhhhheeee heeee hhhhhheeee 8) :'(
No show today. :'( :'( I am sure glad I did not have my tastebuds set for pancakes and syrup. :-X
better be glad you ain't getting it through FEX (%$#$%%) EX
Boss! Boss! The plane! The plane! The plane is here! The plane is here! I mean the package and it says, "fragile" with red and black lettering and from Harrison, Mi.. 8) 8) 8) 8) smiley_applause smiley_hellow_im_here smiley_gorgeous
Please tell me it aint sticky on the outside of da package??
The only thing sticky on the box was the tape. :D Wrapppppppped with bubble wrap, cushened on two sides with two 8' x 8" x 2' foam pads and whole bunches of peanuts (foam) even the jar came through the shipping. 8)
Thank goodness! I did everything I could think of to protect the Stump Jumper golden nectar. :)
Did you sample some, before you shipping? :D

That's for DanG sure! Cktate and I'll have a story to tell in a little bit. ::)
Nope, I have my own Jar. ;D Yours was sealed at the factory. How is it? HUH? HUH? Are ya having flap jacks for supper?
Frank, now dont forget to go and give forestry_forum _support Positive feedback! We need to get that number up! :)
Its only one. :-\
but its 100%! 8)
How do I accomplish that feat? ???
Well First you have to tell us if the syrup is any good, and remember there are little stump jumpers eager for your reply. :)
Well, I just rolled out or my stool that set up to the trough counter. I polished off 3 large pancakes floated in 10 ounces of very sweet maple syrup. As Sam the firefly would say, "Yeow, Wow!" Alice was nice enough to not have any pancakes, so she would not be tempted to want any syrup. ;D I did not measure it out for sure, but I think I used a fourth of the jar in one setting. One fourth of about $115.00 lets you know how much my meal was worth. :D
8) 8)
Glad you liked the syrup.
Hope Alice is able to try some also. At lease a dribble.
Can see you might be needing more. ;D ;D smiley_biggrin01
They think it is pretty exciting to have our maple syrup at the other side of the states. Jonny says WOW you used that much on 3 large pancakes. He usually eats 3-4 medium pancakes and uses about 3-4 ounces of syrup.
Frank, save some of that good syrup for any forum member that might stop by. I will share the auction item I won. 8) I will play my "Sleigh Bells & Brass" CD for anyone that stops by. :D
Pigman, you do not know about my kindergarten days, do you. I flunked sharing. My mother did not recycle me as the teacher suggested, therefore I got stuck in the mode. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
Even Me? :)
Truthfully, if it was't quite so far, I just might take you up on that you know..... :D
Seeing as how mine is on a World Tour and all with Fed EX.............. ::) ::) ::)
