Please help to identify this log

I know the pic is bad, but the log is in a pile.
I hoped it could be identified without breaking the pile.
There were no leaves when it was cut as it was dead so not sure what the leaves looked like.

The two broken branches in the picture were they part of that tree?
Where are you located?

The 2 broken branches are from the canopy of the tree.
I am in central Louisiana.
I will get a pic of the end grain.
