Title: Logmaster LM-1 help
Post by: becca on March 02, 2014, 10:00:57 PM
Hi all,

I'm an anthropologist. I know nothing about sawmills.

I have an elder, not computer-savvy friend who has a Logmaster LM-1. The ball bearing on it broke in some way and he needs to replace it. It's the ball bearing on the "V Groove" (whatever that is) not the rollers.

I've tried to track down Logmaster for him, but it looks like they shut down a few months ago and their website is nonfunctional.  He can't find his manual. Does anyone have a manual and, if so, would you mind letting me know if it has the part manufacturer and number?

Thanks for any help! I'll check back in and pass any info on to my elder.

Becca

Tell your friend to take the bearing out and there should be a set of numbers on the side that can be used to track down a replacement.

I think most of the bearings on the Lm1 other than the blade guides can be bought at a parts store . I'll try and look at my manual and see what's in it tomorrow when I get home if someone doesn't post something first .
