Wish I'd known you wanted some. I left some in the woods today while marking timber. Too far in and I'm sick of them. Your soup was better. If I get anymore, they're yours.

Went out to mow my lawn and lookie what was in the front yard. Memorial day!

Jeff, that was easy, no woods walking.

I found 3 like that in my yard about 19 years ago also. Have looked in the same spot every year since and there haven't been any. Makes one wonder on their mystery appearances.

Found a baseball cap full of 'em last Saturday. I fell a tree on 'em. So, I was cutting limbs and pickin' shrooms at the same time.

Gosh they tasted good! ;D

Just got a call yesterday from a woman I work with.  She got a bunch of oyster mushrooms and she wanted to give me some  ;D    I stopped by around five in the afternoon, and didn't leave until I had eaten a plate of fried oyster mushrooms, drank a few beers with her, and carried off a bag of raw mushrooms, BBQ'ed ribs, and a bug hunk of rum cake  :)

The landowner sent me this photo of his find right behind me a couple days ago as we were harvesting his aspen area. He said that it was the first time that he has ever found any mushrooms on his property.

Timber harvest produces mushrooms!!! Witte timber harvest; 5/03.
