If soft maple is dried down to 6-7% can it be used for stickers on hardwoods (oak, cherry, hard maple) without staining? Again, thanks.

I have several thousand of them that were air dried and haven't had any problems with staining.
I'm happy anywhere south of the mason-dixon line.

Should be fine, but some folks have reported problems with oak where kiln dried stickers actually wick moisture out of green oak too fast and causes localised checking. Apart from that it should be ideal.

Other factors can cause staining, but dry stickers is the most important thing, species isn't usually a problem.

Thanks for the replies. I'm new to this but can't explain how much fun I'm having.
