The melons, cantaloupes, and gourds are doing great thanks to an infusion of $50 worth of water from our rural water system.

Just checked our rain gauge and it is all the way up to 1/8" which is the biggest rainfall since June.

First time I have seen Johnson grass die from lack of water.  Neighbors are hauling water out of the river for the cows.

Larry, bring your buckets, Texas is getting a surplus right now.  And it's free.

What a difference a day makes.  Setting on 5" right now.  The mower hasn't been out of the shed all summer but think it is going to get a work out in a couple of days.  The Missouri River bottoms look like big lake and flash flood warnings out for most of the area. :) :)

It is terrible dry in SD also. Heck the fish are even thirsty. Written off most bean and corn crops and Ranchers are hauling water. :'(

We got 2" last night and another 2" today.  We need the rain so the fact that the trenches we dug to refab the water lines ot the boiler are full of water and backing up a bit into the basement doesn't bother me much.  Just clean it up periodically.  My wife feels a tad different  :o

Sawwood, you said it!! Finally!! Im here in Southern Illinois and man did we ever need the rain!!! BUT, I had some grass seed planted on a hill, about 3 acres of it. Now I think its all washed away! I was praying for rain but not 10 feet of it! Animals are starting to pair up on my property!! Guess I will start on the Ark!  :o :D
