It is my first go- round with cookies. I've got some fantastic 48 in, spalted Maple cookies that are extremely fragile.
Any recommendations on getting them dry without having them disintegrate?

I too would like to hear the results, as I have heard some negatives.  The wood must be porous to allow the chemical to enter.  It would seem that with green wood, the chemical has to replace the water, or else there is not room for it.

Make sure you read the SDS for your personal safety and also flammability.
