Mom used to fix dandelion greens, and used the blossoms to make dandelion wine!

When I was a kid used to go with my Mom and Grandfather (both born in Italy) in the spring and gather dandelions . Same recipe as Roxies but with hard boiled eggs , some good eatin . :) food6

Pudgy Joe (ground hog) likes them. I see him in the back yard eating on the leaves as fast as he can chew. :D

Hey, they are a lettuce. ;)

Mom's aunt would collect and eat them in the spring. Grandmother picked fiddle heads instead. ;)

The roots are good dug up in early Spring and cut into similar sized pieces(baby finger) and baked at 325 deg lightly oiled for 45 min turned over once. Add minced garlic the last 10 min and salt when done. 
eg  tregar  meste  p  Tulla, for  ho  var  krulla  i  ulla.
