Walnut Tree's Blown Down Near Hickory NC

My great uncle Howard talked me into getting two trees near Hickory NC.
More of a favor for him and his friend.  My 16 year old son Tyler went with us. Second tree much smaller.  I'll get pics of it loaded later.

Gotta love that walnut, even if it is a yard tree. Nice.

I agree, nice crotch piece on that tree.  What are you planning to do with the root?  I've seen some amazing turning stock come out of walnut roots!

I left the root.  I think it is headed to burn pile. :embarassed: :o :(
