Took a chance on a saw and bought without having a look at it. It looks like a real gem from the pictures. Friday night it should be here. Can't hardly wait! Suspense!!

It's a classic! Wife's picking it up on her way back from picking up our granddaughter. Have to really bag it up as she has to put it in the trunk of her car :o

Looking forward to photos.  I would have guessed anything over 90 cc as you seem to have been bitten by the big bore bug.

Real1shepherd

Sorry, late to the thread but would have immediately guessed 2100/2101 or 394 right off the bat.....lol!

I hear ya Mike! I'm only going for the Huskies and Jreds now unless it something I can use as a trading tool. I'm going to divest of all the old macs and pioneers and some homelites. I have about 60 I'm not really interested in but pretty much had to take them all. Should make a few bucks on them

Great find with the 2100, you never know what falls into your lap when you're not looking.
Like this low hour 1989 044AV I found last year, I don't plan on making money selling it, only money earned cutting with it  :D
Already got a scratch in the West Germany rewind housing badge earlier on.

Truly a man after my own heart! I didn't exactly abandon Huskies, but early on in the game Jonsereds won me over too. And 15yrs ago, they were easier to find and pay for over the bigger Huskies. Love me the bigger cc Jonsereds!

But then again, my heart kinda stops a few beats when I see an original, clean unmolested 2100/2101...lol! I bet that's the condition you're getting.;D

Well if the photos don't lie it looks good in that regard. The fellow isn't a chainsaw guy and said it was hard to start, too heavy and way too much saw for him. Just what I want to hear, lol

Nothing wrong with the Jreds at all. The ones I have are excellent saws. The 820 and 2065 both are just as good quality. A couple of the others need some work but so do the huskies.

That's exactly what you want to hear! Too much saw, didn't run it much, too heavy, hard to start etc. That's the saw finding it's way to you..... ;D

Hmm, three hour drive so it's prolly not far from me. :D I'm a sucker for the big cube saws too.

Here she is! It's a beauty. First thing I did was cross my fingers and give a tug on the rope. Compression is rock solid. Now, pull plug and check for spark, nice and blue. Took the covers off and check things over, very clean unit, all stock and all there! Chain brake works great. It has the modified handle with the screws and is leak free, that's a blessing.

I thought an attempt at staring was in order and I proceeded to flood the daylights out of it. I asked the fellow to drain the tank of fuel as it was going in my wife's carb trunk. Didn't realize that there was still fuel in the line and carb so a shot of fuel into the carb was probly not a good thing to do. Pulled the plug and cranked it over and cleared things out and she fired up after about 5 pulls and first pull thereafter. 32" bar and 404 chain. Chain needs a good going over but I will more than likely just replace it.

I just love the sound and feel of these things.
