I finally put together my jointer today, but I am concerned about my wiring.  The wiring diagram shows black to red, white to white, and green to a little symbol (not to any of the other wires).  The motor requires 220V.  I assume that the green is a ground and the others are hot, but I don't see any special place to attach the green wire.  What am I missing here?

Jointer is a Grizzly if'n that helps any.

Lee's got it, if they don't give you a ground point you can run a wire with a crimped on connector to any out of the way place on the frame.

If you go to the Grizzly site and choose the G0490 jointer then select the manual it shows the wiring in detail on pages 42 and 43.
