My nds tables don't have ash listed. Is white ash grouped with birch/aspen? ...or does ash have a different proper name?

I asked an engineer once why ash isn't listed in the NDS.....
Somehow I don't remember her answer.... but I'll research my emails and see if I can find the answer....
