Husky 350 throttle lock lever replacement?

Well my trusty little 350 is getting tired. Today while dropping trees the throttle lock lever just snapped. I finagled a bit and managed to get the tree on the ground and even bucked up what was needed, but it's broke. (I also mange d to snap a 8" wedge clean in half, maybe just a bad morning, I dunno).
Anyway, I came home and swapped my 450 into the truck and tried to use crazy glue on the lever as a hail Mary. She wasn't into it and that didn't work. I ordered and OEM replacement and while I wait for it to arrive I am trying to figure out how to replace this thing. I see no pivot pin that goes through the handle and it looks like I have to split the thing, but this is the fuel and oil tanks, can't do that. I did one of these on a 390 and it was easy, 5 minutes, but there were screws if I recall.

Anybody ever done one of these? Simple way, maybe? @Spike60 ? I am hoping I can snake it in through the front of the handle maybe, but didn't have time to look into it that far. I am hoping that I don't have to tear it all apart for this. I have a few days to think on it until the part gets here and I have other work to do and logs to get in. The 450 will do fine for now, but I miss my little beater.

You can get the lever out from the top. Good U tube video. Seach Husqvarna 350 trigger or operator presence lever replacement. Operator presence lever comes out from top of handle. Trigger comes out from the bottom. When your new lever comes, look at it and you will see the two tabs, one on each side, that hold it into the handle.

Tusen Tak Mr. Hansen. When I read your post it seems to me I recall having that in an out before, I just can't remember when or why. Since I still have the front half of it still in the saw handle, I'll have to take a gander at it tomorrow. I am getting to an age that I can't recall everything I've done in the past and have to re-learn some things from time to time.

If I can get the remaining part out, I should be able to get the new one in. I did a whole mess of fix it jobs this afternoon and didn't have much time for that one.

I used JB Weld on a throttle lever on an efco that I won on here. Worked great!!!!

What part we talking here? The throttle link from trigger to carb? Or the operator presence lever on the tank?

Throttle link-Short cuts with this job end up being the long way home. Easiest method is to pull the carb and filter holder. Get the throttle link in place, then slide the link through the rubber grommet into the tank.everything will drop in place.

OPC lever-this is just a snap in item; no pin or hardware involved. Just have to avoid pinching the Spring when you put it in. Top of spring goes into the lever.

Not yet. I am running with the 450 for now and that works fine, just a little heavier and a longer bar.

Uh, I don't find this to be age related, unless it starts way earlier than I would think.

Well the new part was supposed to show up tomorrow, but arrived today. You guys were right as usual. It took about 10 seconds to put the new one in..... after I put it in incorrectly (spring out of place) and spent 10 minutes trying to get it unlocked and removed to try again.

Second try was duck soup and it works as new now, Thanks for all the help!
