20" Circular Saw Blade
« on: February 01, 2008, 10:48:20 AM »
Would like to purchase a decent shape (all teeth the same height) plain steel blade.  This would be a crosscut style ie. cordwood saw / buzz saw approx. 20 inches in diameter and to fit a 1 inch arbor.
Thanks.
John

I will check and see if I still hav any of the buzz saw blades left that I bought at an auction a  couple of years ago.  Don't remember how many of em my friend took.  If I remember correct they were 24" diameter.

Coon and Ely,  I am still looking.  Approx. 20" diameter is what would work best.  A 1" bore would be ideal but I could make a bushing if the hole size was slightly larger.  I can handle the shipping cost, UPS or USPS, if you didn't mind taking the time to secure it between a couple of pieces of heavy cardboard or something similar.  I'm in no rush.  We're still in the middle of Winter here.  Thanks, John

I looked at them and here's what I got.

  6- 32" diameter w/ 1 1/4 arbor.
2- 28" diameter w/ fine tooth profile and 1" arbor.
1- 24" diameter w/ fine tooth profile and 1" arbor.
  1- 24" diameter w/ coarse profile and 1 1/8 arbor
  1- 24" diameter w/ coarse profile and 1 " arbor.

Any other ones I have are too poor of shape to be used for sawing..  I plan on making a large disply using these blades.  Of course that will be when I build a house.  Hoping in a year or so.

It was no problem at all.  I figured if I had one I'd helped you out.  I can get them at auctions pretty cheap sometimes.  I'm actually watching out for a couple of specific blades for a processor project in the future so I'm sure I'll be to more auctions in the spring.   :o ;D

i looked at mine and the smallest is 22 inches and the arbor is about 1 3/8 on these. the smaller sizes i have would need to be reworked as far as the teeth.
i do have larger dia. blades with good teeth though. sorry
