Kinda chainsaw same motor

Hi ya's
now i have a small prob ..i found a older mister blower in a shed  a Stihl SR17  (CC rateing i don't know  a guess about 35-45)cleaned it up and tryed to start it  but no spark ..try the plug in a scrub cutter  and it works ...fuel getting to all the right places but no go ...plug will end up wet after a few pull's  :-/ ...can't seem to find a kill/earth switch  tho  ??? any ideas ..i know the rings are a bit tired too as the presure is a bit low but i feel it's still high eneff to run   ..did the older stihls have a kill/earth switch ?? if not any tricks of the trade
