I never get tired of seeing Icey play...what a great dog!   8)
Say when

Norm

I'm not sure who's having more fun...not that it matters. :)

asy

That was FUN. Steph and I just watched it and she said "What a cooooool Dog".

Told her she'll get to meet Icey soon, she's thrilled, so we went and looked at a whole mess of other FF Videos of Icey on YouTube. Steph particularly liked the one in the car asking for treats.

Oh, she also really liked the Pool Dunking thing, she wants to know if it's still there?

asy :D

Yep, still have the pool dunker. Hopefully we get some warm weather for the pigroast this year to put it to good use!

Yah, only thing is, "warm weather" for you may not quite be the same as "warm weather" for us. I keep trying to tell Steph it may not be warm enough to swim, but she keeps saying "but it's summer"...  Ah, yeah, but...

Do you think it'll be over 30c?

Asy, your right "what a cooool dog".  I just now looked at the last four or five videos of the Icey.   I look forward to meeting Asy and Icey at the pigroast (and all the other FF members).

I can give you an estmated narrow range that the temperature could range within on that day. Remember this is only an estimate from living here all my life.

It shoulld be between 50 and 100 degrees F.   That's the best I can do, :)

That would be between 10°C and 38°C.   Put this way, it sure sounds cold!

38 sounds OK, but I didn't realise the thermometers went down as far as 10...  I think ours start above that...    :o

Boss, that's an absolutely beautiful pic of Icey, could you please email me the full res shot of it?  :)

We sure will, Subsailor, and my Mum too!  8)  But ya gotta watch her, she's a partyer  :o

Are you going to be there too???

I'm HANGING out for the "who's coming to the pig roast" thread so I can FINALLY say I AM!!!

I've been saying, since the piggy roast started, "I'll try to get there next year"...   This time I'm COMING. And we've worked a great USA/CAN holiday around the piggy roast (yes, the pig roast WAS the primary reason for coming to the USA...)

SEEYA THERE!!!

I tired something new as we were out pre-prepping the pool for its winter's nap.  The pool is Icey's favorite toy.  I put my camera in a ziplock bag and had her dive in. :)

She IS part duck, isn't she???

I know I watched her fish tennis balls out of the pool and thought WOW!!!

Oliver doesn't like getting his face wet, he's funny, when we go into the lagoon he has his own doggie-float-vest, it's cool! If he's not wearing the life jacket he tries to climb out onto your head, which is NOT much fun with a dog of his size!!!

Hey Jeff,

I can't remember since it has been almost 20 years since I have lived in Michigan, but how far is Harrison from Traverse City?  I remember working on a crew to build some townhomes on top of a hill in Boyne City back in the end of 1989.  We stayed in a nice A-frame cabin on a lake, and went fishing every day at lunch and after work on the Boyne River.  I loved the Polish boiled dinner that my coworker and friend made with a steelhead that I caught there in the park at the entrance to the Boyne River.  We also caught a lot of salmon there.

Oh, those were the good old days when I was fit an full of vim and vigor.  Time sure does fly...
"Pure gold fears no fire!" - (Ancient Chinese proverb)  What do you fear?

Jeff

Its probably a good two hours away.  Tammy and I ate in Traverse City last weekedn. We took thelong scenic route home from the cabin down around the cost from the bridge to Traverse City, then across through Cadillac and on home.  Usually a 3 hour trip took almost 7.  That area is one of the most scenic in all of lower Michigan.
