Dug out an old 034 and pulled jug.  Seems in good condition just needs a good clean up.  Piston is o.k. but a lot of carbon on the top.  New rings or use old?  How to drift/press that piston pin out.

O.K.  I'm stumped .. Can't seem to get photos to load.  They are in my album and have tried three times.  While I try to figure this out, any comments on the real nature of this post?

Looks good to me,a wire brush will clean up the top of the piston.I would clean up the cylinder put a fresh set of rings in it.You could use the old ones if the end gap is 7or 8 thousands but if it's more put new ones.Clean as much of the carbon as possible. After a good cleaning put it together and run the wiz out of it.

Ordered new piston.  What should the ring gap be?  I doubt new rings would need adjustment but I'm curious to see what they measure out to.

Hope all is well,
