I know how to use the tool box on here. But i dont know how the math works out. I would like to figure out how to be able to figure it out without the use of the the tool box. Thanks for the help guys. Semo.

There are 43,560 sq. ft in one acre. Figure out how much space (area in sq. ft) each tree will take up, and then divide that into the 43,560 sq. ft. That will give you the number of trees per acre.

So if you are going to plant trees on a 10 by 10 spacing, each tree will take up 100 sq. ft. Divide that into the 43,560 to get 435 trees to the acre.

If you need to find out the spacing of 800 trees planted on an acre, then divide the 43,560 by 800 for an area for each tree of 54.5 sq.ft, or a spacing of about 6 x 9'.

Does this come close to what you are looking for?

If not, some examples of what you have and what you want.
