My wife and I were thinking of getting chickens again.  We already have the coop and almost everything we need but were on the fence.  So we stopped at a small thrift store and got to talking to the owners, both retired, and ended up trading some firewood for some chickens.  They're about 6 to 8 weeks old so we were able to skip the brooding stage.

Not a bad deal.

The barter system far surpasses cash in my opinion. I like to trade all I can.
It seems I am a coarse thread bolt in a world of fine threaded nuts!
