Tammy called me outside to show me this "thing" she spotted on a rock in the flower garden. We have no idea what it is. Looks a bit parasitic. Any ideas?

Looks like a whip worm or a round worm , just a guess.
Looks like a Magician with a boot string. I ain't never seen nothing like that.
My money is on Horsehair worm.

cinnabar; I remember making "horse hair snakes" when we were kids.
We would just take a freshly pulled hair and place it in water and in a little while we could see it swimming around!
I know what it is...creepy and gross!!

That's it! Looked at several sources on google. Definitely horse hair worm. Everything says they are harmless. Thanks! :)

That is a treat to see/find. I have seen a few, but they are rare, or maybe so small that they go unnoticed.
