15th Annual Forestry Forum Pig Roast August 4 & 5, 2018!
Well, I've started the countdown! AND, we have started preparations already! SAVE THE DATE! AUGUST, 4th and 5th.
Tomorrow we are going to the STIHL dealer to purchase a MS250 for the annual STIHL chainsaw giveaway. Northeast STIHL already has hooked us up with a stipend for that!
Not one single comment? It looks good on the Cedar rocker.

Not commenting does not mean that we weren't looking. ;D

Great support from Stihl! Nice looking saw. Newer than my Stihl for sure!
Where does this take place at?
It's on the calendar and the hoping/dreaming has begun!
Good thing you did not post that photo in the chainsaw section after yesterday and ask for comments Jeff smiley_whip whiteflag_smiley
It's on the bucket list - will see how the summer progresses.
I'm scheduled to be off this year and hope to make.
Linda and I will be there lord willin.
It is a high point of our summer when I doesnt interfere with my forestry school 5 year reunions.
Next year will be my 60 yr there.
Reserved this year's campground space last year, and the calendar is marked.
Maybe I should mark the calendar 2 weeks prior to remind Mr. Glassman.

Halloween is not until October.
We'll get an early start ;) ;D
Once again this year I'm gonna try to make it.
If grits are groceries, I will be there for my 12th straight year.
To some they are, some they are not. ;D So in your mind you will be at The Pig Roast.
Someone may sneak a Pig in full of Grits......just pull his tail.....well you know the story. :D
Ray,
It is obvious that grits are not groceries for you because in the 11 straight years that I have been to the Pig Roast, not once have I seen your meat-potatoes-and-cheese eating face there. It is a shame because I would love to meet you. If it happens, I promise that I will not ply you with grits or anything vegetable green. Maybe we could just settle on some good hog meat BBQ that the Boss prepares so well. It is worth it, Sir. Being a Southern Man, I have some sensibilities ;D.

How far is that from Cranberry Lake, Southwood drive area? @Wildflower (http://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?action=profile;u=9)
I would enjoy it too if this meat, cheese, bread face could met you. I would like that.Potatoes are not a steady diet for me. Blame that on my Father. ;D We had potatoes just about every supper meal. But I will eat them once a month. :D
Yes,I am fussy on what I eat. Very fussy. :(
Thank you for the sensibilities.
Hog Meat sound good. Mighty good!!!!
Lodgings booked. Add Lindy and I to the list. 8)

5 miles Lee probably 10 minutes. Why ask you?
That's where I have booked lodging. Just curious how far away it is. Not bad at all.
Had no idea there was anything out there. Is it a cabin on the lake?
Yes sir, through VRBO. (vacation rental by owner) We often do that instead of staying in hotel/motels usually for about the same price and you get a full home with all the amenities.
Well shoot, that saw is the door prize for the member that travels the most miles to get to the pig roast right. hmmmm
I don't think grits goes to well with bbq pork anyway. I reckon a guy could choke down a grit or two if he had to, to meet some of the members though.

Well dad gum, son of a gun and a whole bunch more bad words. It sure sounded like a good idea though.
If everything goes as planned, there is no way I could even think about coming anyway, it does sound like fun though.
Well now, what was booked weren't booked but now something else is booked. Still got lodgings. Unless it somehow ain't booked either. ::) It should be ok though. Lindy booked it this time. It's such a hassle trying to do anything from here at work.

Alaska is not far by Pig Roast attendee standards. You need to come a lot farther to be the member that travels the most miles. In fact, Alaska is in the same neighborhood by pig roast travel distance standards.
Wonder how my wife would feel about me leaving her with a newborn to hang out with you guys? Good news is the new one is due in July so that gives me some time. Right?
Bring them with you. This is a family event!
I would love to do that. but I think that may be just a tad to young for a 10 hour road trip.
However if I get a green light maybe I will being the other kid.
Okay Jeff ! I knew you had your ways of getting things done etc. but really ! the hat ? !!! Way to go ! Now I need to attend or die I guess ! I swear I am going to try with everything I have ! Don't ever think I don't wanna be there I know it is a huge time ! Plus I wanna meet this wide head dude ! or goat guy or whatever ! Anyway I got your message loud and clear ! Oh and I might bring my recently acquired USFS lantern and let you touch it !
;D
Scully, Im really not sure if I can make it. But I may have some commemorative
Goat Bobber Heads to put on your dash Jeff will hand out at the PR.
If any of you are travelling up 81 or 77 through VA I have a little package that I'd appreciate heading up that way if someone with a heavy half ton or better and the best part of the bed can swing by.
