What is a good insurance company to go through for landscaping and logging? I was told that was too broad and they would have to make a special plan for me and it would be over $2000 a year?

I was told that too so I ditched the plan for insurance. Though I would suggest you try some insurance companies based in Maine since the lumber and logging companies are more common there.

Insurance, mainly liability is the reason I got out of the Excaxating/Snowplowing business. It just was not possible to afford doing it part time. And it wasn't worth losing everything I owned to a lawsuit if I continued my business.
Our society that is willing to sue over anything can be thanked for the high insurance rates.
I think you will find the rates high no matter where you look.
