We're coming up on those warmer months, I just wanted to see what everyone's experience and suggestions were for keeping mold and mildew off sitting bunks. At most, a bunk might sit for 2 days or over a weekend. I've heard that bleach water is a good solution but didn't know if that would discolor the lumber.

We sell green lumber in ash, WO, RO, Hac, black walnut, and cottonwood.

All suggestions appreciated!

ive had great success with boric acid powder dissolved in water and mopped on whatever is molded.
some say it works even better if peroxide or ammonia is mixed in with it.
I mix say a gallon of hot water with about two cups of boric acid powder, got a big box from this place

Powder Boric Acid, 55.12 lb Bag [borpbags] | DudaDiesel Biodiesel Supplies

and a cup of borax. mix it good and mop it on. gotta keep mixing it to keep powder suspended in water while you do it, for some reason it doesn't dissolve very well but it works.
don't wash it off just let it dry and mold will never come back on the surface. that's been my experience anyway.
the powder is also excellent for bug control around the house and garden
