Any thoughts using saligna as a decking replacement on a truck?

I've been borrowing my dad's truck to pickup logs and inevitably put down the odd one with a limb/knob that has poked a hole in the deck, it's 50mm pine at the moment. Would be good to replace it for him and I happen to have come into a dozen or so saligna gums that would yield it.

If so, could I pin it on green being that it will be held everywhere to a steel frame with bugle head bolts, or better to dry it some first?

Deck is used primarily for tractor transport. And logs..

I've never had anything to do with E. saligna except for woodchopping blocks down south, but I've got a copy of Bootle lives on my desk:

GD 1070 kg/m3, ADD 850kg/m.
Shrinkage 5% radial, 9% tangential, heart centre material is inclined to split quite severely so it is not recommended for large girders.
... tangential surfaces are susceptible to surface checking...
General Building purposes, cladding, flooring, panelling, boat building...

It'll go F17 at structural number 1 which is a better than average construction grade material, so it should be fine
The quickest way to make a million dollars with a sawmill is to start with two million.
