I have an Echo 310 I use for limbs up to about 6" diameter. It has the small chain, I believe 0.25. Can I replace that with a .325 bar and chain and will I need to replace the sprocket?

Unless you modified it, or bought it from someone who did, it should have 3/8lp chain, and that's the biggest chain you'd want to run on that saw.

X2 You would also need to replace the drive sprocket, I doubt if it is available in .325 for that saw.

I did buy it used and it looked like it had been used very little, but it could have been modified. Thanks.

If it really does have 1/4" chain, you could bump it up to 3/8lp. That's the as-shipped setup, at least in the US. You'd need a drive sprocket, bar, and chain.

I see now it does have a 3/8 lp bar and chain. I did put a regular bar and chain on it once and it did work but I could see that the sprocket was not right for it and the chain did not fully rest on top of the sprocket  I'll see if I can get a sprocket that will work better with that bar and chain.
Thanks.
