I just saw an announcement on TV that tomorrow morning they will be showing an educational piece about prescribed burning and the benefits thereof. This station does this every year as the burning season approaches, in cooperation with the Tall Timbers Research Station. For mucho info about Tall Timbers, Google is your friend. Anyway, as a result of these broadcasts, there is very little panic or complaining from folks around here about the large amount of burning they do in these parts. 8)
When I burn, I try to contact the direct neighbors so that they do not call 911 or the fire department.
