Nyle Water Heater

I was watching "Ask This Old House" and they were doing a segment about water heaters.  In particular they were talking about water heaters like I have that have a heat pump on top to maintain the hot water more efficiently.  It seems to be working well for us, but the story was about what happens if the heat pump on top quits working or what if you want to add a heat pump to a conventional electric water heater.  Then they brought out the Nyle Systems heat pump stand alone water heater which is made to connect to the regular water heater.  I thought it was interesting.

We stopped production on these in 2016 but are coming out with a new model called the E-8
