The union where I work  Mercury Marine passed a contract with many concessions.  But included with it is a buyout for older workers that will lock in insurance rates for my wife.
This will allow me to retire this fall instead of next summer.  I will now have more time to saw and for my other hobbies with out feeling guilty for wasting time.

The company I work for has been working on Hwy.41 outside of Mercury. That sure looks like a big place.

Congratulations on your up-coming retirement.  I was "down sized" out 15 years ago and have never looked back.  They wanted me to "contract" back, but I never took that bait either.  Retirement is the BEST job I ever had....
