Got any idea of how old that one your standing by is? One thing that's sure is Missouri has the perfect conditions for growing them.

Our walnuts are somewhat poor quality here usually, with about 3 inches of sapwood all the way around, rapid growth rings, and a lot of knots and hollow spots. But I still love them anyway!

OH logger

around here nice and clean is great BUT big and not so perfect is a close second. last winter i cut some 8oo bd footers and some wernt that pretty but they brought real good money. there were some table tops in there ;)

Best I ever did for a single 9 ft walnut log is $4500, not perfect by a long shot but was 63 inch on top , went for tables
