Title: Kitchen island
Post by: fluidpowerpro on January 18, 2023, 11:14:36 PM
I've always wanted more workspace in my kitchen at the cabin so this winter decided to build one. I just finished it this week. It made from Red Oak I cut from my property. I am limited in my supply of woodworking tools and only have a cheap small HF table saw I pull out from time to time, so I bought a dado blade (it almost cost as much as the saw) and used it to shiplap the side boards.

That space definitely needed an island.  Looks great!

The BB top matching the grain direction of the floor is a nice touch.
