For the acreage you have and the type of terrain sounds like it might be the best to use a skidder (whether you buy or rent).
Maybe a used machine for the real rough places first then sell it then get yourself a tractor.

When I was a foreman in the "big woods" I had seen skidders go in places I would never think about bringing a tractor into.


Safety First a tractor doesn't have the safety features a skidder has, like a good cab fer one.

 You can delimb faster with a skidder, drop the tree, drive up one side and back down the other. Then its easier walking to cut the branch stubs.
