I'm Canadian by birth and Came down here 35 years ago.  I soon realised that Canada is a great place to be from and a nice place to visit but I wouldn't live anywhere else but here.
A very wise man once told me . Grand children are great, we should have had them first

Well, all in all tht awasn't so bad. I feel like we dodged the bullet again. Lost power about 9 this morning but got it back about half an hour ago. I really feel lucky since I'm in a rural area and most people don't have power. Ran the genset all day so we could watch TV news run the fridge and freezer.  A huge Cuban laurel blew over right on my shed. Pushed it off the foundation and put a nice sized crimp in the side. Got my Stihl out to start whittling on it and it wouldn't start. First time that's ever happened. I'm sure they'll fix it for me tomorrow. ;)

GEez, Teri!!!

Can't you understand Mother Nature when she's tellin' ya go pack up and go visit Roxie???

Lie low, am thinking of you. Every news report about the himicane (They can't all be 'her's) makes me hope you are OK.

By the way, speaking of storms, here's a laugh for ya...

Tonight we had thunderstorms and heavy rain in Brisbane, and a news report came flashing across the bottom of the tv. Telling people in certain areas that the electrical blackouts were due to the storm, and that power will be restored asap. hehehe...  ::) :o ::)

asy :D

Sawguy, we were well out of the way, this time.  It never even got cloudy here.  It was windy yesterday, but that was from a cold front.

My son lives in Boca Raton.  They had some damage when a large tree fell on their carport and crunched DIL's brand new car.  Also took a ding on the roof, causing some minor leakage, and a small amount of flooding.

Shotgun, we ain't outta the woods yet.  In 1985, H. Kate kicked Tallahassee's butt a week before Thanksgiving.  I think the season officially ends at the end of Nov., but I ain't sure Ma Nature keeps up with the schedule.
