Meat grinder mount
« on: November 05, 2016, 10:18:00 PM »
Here is a base I made to mount my meat grinder on.

It's tall enough to get a large cooker/bowl under the grinder as well as make operating it standing at a table comfortable.

No finish or sanding tonight. Have probably 70lb of sausage to grind in the morning and it's getting late.

Necessity is indeed the Mother of invention.
Looks like a Kreg jig was used, I've got one but I've barely used it.
Seems like a good way to build quick stuff where you're not worried about it being beautiful joinery.

I used the Kreg jig for a lot of fast joints where it don't have to be pretty or necessarily stronger than the glue and screws provide.

Some times when you post pics of your collections I wish I could find the time to come visit. Looks like you have plenty of interesting stuff.

I need to take a panorama picture of the grinders so you could see them all.
They needed dusted so I gave the whole collection to my wife...

As I sometimes collect things I often remember the wise words of wisdom from Grandpa...."It is a fine line between a hobby and an obsession"....
