My sister Lynda and I were driving back from the Soo, and something caught my eye, So, I hit the skids and backed up in the 30 mile an hour winds up here and we got to witness something pretty cool. A Ruffed Grouse fighting the wind while feeding on some Highbush Cranberries. What we saw was much cooler live than what we caught on video.

Thanks for sharing that was interesting to watch.  Hard work for that mill!  Sure am glad I have fingers and thumbs.

Neat video. We have a few grouse here which I assume are Ruffed grouse. I very seldom see them so real neat when one does show himself.

I have watched wild turkeys in heavy snow here up in the multi-flora roses eating rose hips that looked a lot like your grouse. Real hard times for the turkeys.
