Got home from Florida on Wednesday.
Spent the last few days getting settled in.
Put several logs on the deck yesterday and hope to saw on Monday if I can rustle up some help.
Yippee, cant wait!

It's good to hear that you made the trip safely and that all of your "chickens are home to roost".  I look forward to seeing some of your sawing results.   ;D

Thanks for the reminder Pete.
No apparent rodent activity around the mill but will check the hoses tomorrow.
When I left for Florida I forgot to remove the battery and paint the rails.
Mild winter here so battery not a problem but the rails are rusty and need to be sanded.
Sawed about 600 ft so far and am still cursing the shake that appeared in some logs over the winter.
I'm out of shape from winter activity so only sawed 6 hrs so far.  ( with help from a  grandson who is very good help.)
A full day planned for Thursday with my older very strong tail man so should have good production.
Put my ad in the local shopper and have had a few calls already.
Altho with my somewhat slow pace. I have calculated my Hourly wage for 2015 at about $6.75 per hr, just below minimum here in NY.
Tongue in cheek, as I am just enjoying the sawing and the customers I meet as well as it keeps me out of the hair of "she who must be obeyed".

It's good to read that you have gotten your first whiff of sawdust this year.   8)

I paid my helper $7/hr.  two of that was for talking on his cell phone.
