has any one ever put the over sized winch brake bands in there I was told they only come in 40 thousands over thought maybe they made them thinner

I had my brake band relined at my parts/mach shop,it was over sized and i spent a few hrs with a wood rasp to make it slide in.Make sure to back the set screw on top of the winch out also.
