Jeff gave me this jar of Pickled Ring Bologna as I was leaving his place last week.  He also gave me a tasting slice out of his jar.

Now I will readily admit that this was a brand new tasting experience.  It is quite vinegary.   :o

I told Jeff in another thread that I would have Marty with me when we had the "grand opening".  Well today was the day.

We locked arms and downed it together.

Then we experimented with cracker, cheese, and even mustard.

Nope, Pat has not tried it yet.  no_no

There's a fine line between turning firewood into beautiful things and beautiful things into firewood.

When you are done with the bologna hard boil some eggs and put them in the brine.

There was no opinion published. That can't be good!

I discovered something about pickled baloney just this last month. It was a discovery made when we had not done any shopping for a while and there wasn't much in the fridge. Previously I had always eaten it cold. I took a chunk and heated it up and ate it like a hotdog with ketchup, mustard and some sweet relish.  It tasted like a sauerkraut dog! It was really good. So good I even took a picture :) (notice the fancy Pickledog bun)
