sawdust

I was reading an old thread about sawdust briquettes. There is a version of the bricks that have no additives just simply highly compressed shavings. They are extruded and there are many videos on youtube, just search briquette.

I bought a few to try. They weigh 5 lbs are 3.75 inches in diameter and one foot long.
they GROW when they get hot, break apart at the compression lines and burn real hot and fast. The advertising claims that it will burn for 12 hours. I tried it in my Blaze king with the air right down.
These were made with the machine that is essentially a square bailer that squeezes out a round cylinder.
there is another version called a bio brick it appears to be pressed hydraulically and is square. Anyone know if it has the same fast/hot combustion issue?
comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable.

Sounds interesting.

Did you try the other briquettes?

Any websites for the products?
