I finally got the sun, moon and the stars all lined up to host the sawing project again. It will be held on April 8th and 9th 2022. Address is

1607 Capps Browning Rd.
Rentz, GA. 31075

I will ask that this doesn't get shared on Facebook until we see how many folks are coming from here. I'm afraid that if it got shared there that there might not be enough room for the rest of us.
I don't have anything in particular planned to saw so hit me with some suggestions and we will see where it goes from there. I now have all of my equipment at the home mill so we can look at the extended mill, Lucas slabber, remote mill, slabmizer, skidsteers, telehandler, backhoe, articulated loader, kiln, couple of planers, resaw, jointer, blade sharpening equipment, logs and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.
We will spend most of Friday going around and discussing most of the equipment and then a sawing demo yet to be determined on Saturday morning. Keep in mind that one of the ways that pays for this project is the selling of the lumber that is produced and donations by them that are attending. There is normally a gathering Friday evening around a little bonfire with some hamburgers and hotdogs and then a lunch on Saturday. Saturday evening around another little bonfire munching on leftovers so I don't have to eat them all.
Those that live close enough are welcome to bring a covered dish or dessert for the lunch on Saturday. We just like to keep a head count and a list going of what is being brought so we don't have 10 of the same thing. You guys that are single and can't cook can bring drinks, plates, plastic ware or some other such thing.

I will furnish the chicken for Saturday and Tammy and I make 2  attending.
Two LT70s, Nyle L200 kiln, 4 head Pinheiro planer, 30" double surface Cantek planer, Lucas dedicated slabber, Slabmizer, and enough rolling stock and chainsaws to keep it all running.

If it won't roll, its not a log; it's still a tree.  Sawmills cut logs, not trees.

I was reading through this just a grinning. When I got to the bottom I saw the one about 2020. Sure was a lot of laughs in there before Covid hit. Lets make this as fun as that one.
For those that haven't been here before there is lots of hotels at the intersection of HWY 441 and Interstate 16 Dublin, GA. which is 6 miles from my place.

I would love to have been able to attend, however, I have already planned a trip to Alaska in September to hunt moose and I just can't do both. Have fun and someone put away a couple chicken wings for me 😁

Well, unfortunately Laureen is already scheduled to be doing volunteer veterinary work on a Zuni Indian reservation in New Mexico that weekend, so I'm down for the count.

That takes us back to 25.

Y'all enjoy!

For the Saturday lunch list, Nancy said she would fix a peach cobbler.  If something else is needed, we can stop and pick it up on the way.
