My classic OWB 4436 is now 18 years old.
It has been a great machine, one small firebox leak about 10 yrs ago. patched and no firebox leaks since altho it uses a small amount of water and I have to add a few gallons about every three to four weeks, perhaps evaporation is the cause.
I have religiously used the Central Boiler corrosion inhibitor.
Finally had to replace the chimney tee as the old one was totally shot.
The pipe sections are separated slightly along the seams on the inside.
I have opted to use them as at my age I think they will function OK.
Replaced the control module 5 years ago.
I figure it has saved me buying about 12,000 gallons of fuel oil.
Burned it year around for heating domestic water when I had slabs from the mill, but not every year.

Wow how time flies.
I've had a Heatmor for 16 years.
I have not had much trouble with it. Clean out rusted out. replaced a few fans.
I did shout it down last year when I had my hernia. But before that it was only down maybe 2 weeks.
