I use frozen bread for anything grilled. Especially peanut butter and jelly. You can smash in the butter, smash in the lelly, and smash in the crunchy peanut butter and never bother the bread. It then toasts very nice and stays full.

Just can't believe you dipped your jelly knife in the peanut butter  :)

Then I went and stuck it in the ketchup bottle that wouldn't start to pour. :)

Try "Dukes" instead of butter. :)

for fun, try putting the jelly on first, then the peanut butter.   :o   :)

I get very strange looks from when I've made grilled PB&J (like a grilled cheese) but I've never tried it in the air fryer. My dad introduced my to that sandwich and I love the warm jelly and drippy peanut butter. Yours looks tasty!

Also, that camera seems to work well! Lots of good detail and bokeh!

As in... mayonnaise?? With jelly ???

I'm appalled  ;D

I've been hearing a fair amount of using mayo instead of butter, I haven't had the guts to try it yet but it's supposed to be great. I've got to imagine it's like butter with some egg white mixed in, mayo is just oil and egg white, right?

I may have to try that on my next egg sandwich.

Not just any mayonnaise, Dukes.

I use it instead of butter on grilled cheese, PBJ, toasted buns, ham and cheese etc.

It's just better. lol

Ok ok ok.... I was picturing you meant instead of peanut butter on the inside...  :D

I feel fine with using mayo in place of butter as a means to brown up the outside of a sammich :) I do that for our grilled cheese whenever I get a craving for a good, salty treat with my tomato soup!
