I wonder if those folks who don't like, or haven't tried, grits have ever had boudin?

I like Boudin but honestly prefer a sausage w/o the rice.
Hillshire Farms version of smoked sausage called Polish Kielbasa is my fave store bought sausage. We generally eat it as a stir fry of potatoes, peppers, onions and whatever else we have around-cauliflower, broccoli, okra, etc.

There is a place on my plate for DanG near anything, and I like Kielbasa, we have a local sausage of deer and pork, smoked.  Um um.

boudin, I had to google it, does not sound bad.
grits don't sound bad either, but they won't be on my plate. ;)

I will try just about anything, but don't need someone to try to tell me or convince me how good something is when I don't like something.

I haven't had either but am willing to try both but don't promise to eat more if I don't care for it. I am generally open to trying things with 2 exceptions, anything really hot and any of the vegetarian meat(beyond meat, etc.) because if I want veggies, I'll have them as a side to my meat, never a main course.

So if I added coubion would I get the same response?

I would try it but not expect to take a second bite, I'm not a fish lover, I can eat it (other than crab) but don't get any pleasure out of it. Salmon salad sandwiches and shrimp are pretty much it for fish but I love fishing.

The doc said I should eat a well balanced meal. I try to eat more vegetarians than carnivores.

I will admit my diet is not the best.
But my blood sugars are good, and I am not dying from not eating all the stuff that everyone says I should eat.  ::)
So, I will keep eating the 3 main food groups, bread, cheese and meat. I have cut back on the bread A LOT.

My bil was like you, wouldn't touch fruit or vegetables. Meat, cheese and beer were the basic food groups. When he got colon cancer the specialist told him it was his own fault so he forced himself to experiment, actually found he liked some vegetables and loved locally grown cantaloupe.

I have tried those veggies, still don't like them.  ;)
Brenda will put them in a soup. With lots of meat. First time she made one I asked where all the meat was. She said I put a pound in, I told her to double it.  :)
On our first date I told her how fussy I was. and don't get me to eat veggies, I don't like them.
I will eat raw onions, peppers and a salad, if I am in the mood for salad.
